Detailed 2-Day Rwanda Gorilla Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
Before your transfer to Volcanoes national park, you will have a half day tour of Kigali city, the capital of Rwanda. Visit the Inema art center, the genocide memorial and the national museum.
After the tour, drive to Volcanoes National Park arriving at your accommodation for the night in the afternoon, check in, have lunch and after some down time, take on a guided cultural visit to the Gorilla Guardians villages and later return to your accommodation for the night.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Return to Kigali
Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park is carried out early in the morning.
So, you will be driven to the park offices by 7:00 am for briefing and then head into the forest to trek the gorilla family assigned to your group.
The trek can take anywhere from 2-6 hours and you will spend a full hour with the mountain gorillas before you retreat from the forest, heading back to the head office where you will meet your tour driver and drive back to Kigali city.
