Detailed 3-Day Rwanda Gorilla Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali City – Volcanoes National Park
Your safari starts with a tour of Kigali city, famously known as one of the cleanest cities in Africa. Visit the city’s famous attractions like the Kigali genocide memorial and the Inema art center among others.
You will have lunch and then transfer to Volcanoes national park arriving in the early evening at your accommodation for the night.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Gorilla Guardians Village Visit
You will be at the park head offices early after your breakfast, meet with other visitors, get briefed, get assigned to a park ranger, guides and a gorilla family to track down.
You will trek for about 2-6 hours before you find your gorilla family which you will spend an hour with.
Return from gorilla trekking and visit the Gorilla Guardians village for a cultural tour after having a delicious lunch and some relaxation time.
Overnight will be back at your accommodation.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking & Departure
Today you track the unique endangered golden monkeys of Volcanoes national park. It is also an early morning activity that starts with briefing at the park’s head office.
You will trek through the bamboo forests as these monkeys are mostly seen swinging among the bamboo trees of the Volcanoes.
After your trek, you will drive back to your lodge for lunch and after transfer back to Kigali city.
