Detailed 4-Day Rwanda Double Gorilla Trekking Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
Your double gorilla trekking safari starts with a pick up from either the airport or your hotel in Kigali.
Take on a tour of Kigali city visiting the Inema art center, the national museum, the genocide memorial center, craft shops among other places of interest if time permits.
Have lunch then transfer to Volcanoes national park, check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 2-3: Double Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Experience the mountain gorillas of Volcanoes national park on this double gorilla trekking expedition.
There are over 10 habituated gorilla families in the park, so, you will be assigned to 2 different gorilla families on 2 different routes for each day.
You will spend an hour with the mountain gorilla families, take your time to enjoy the encounter, take pictures and try to compare your experiences with the 2 families, their behaviors, activeness among others.
Optional activities after the gorilla trekking on the respective days include a cultural visit to the Gorilla Guardians village and or a visit to the twin lakes Ruhondo and Burera.
Day 4: End of Tour
Time to say goodbye to the Volcanoes and head back to Kigali. Have breakfast and then transfer back to Kigali to your hotel or to the airport.
