Volcano hiking in Volcanoes National Park Rwanda – Nature has endowed the land with abundance and much of its splendid radiance.
Volcanoes National Park is a significant landmark in the northwestern part of Rwanda, covering 160 square kilometers of rain-forest and encompassing five of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains: Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabyinyo.
These volcanoes not only form a basic physical feature but also establish one of the most beautiful landscapes.
Being a habitat for different plant species and over 300 different mammal types, the volcanoes attract numerous activities, with hiking in the mighty volcanoes being one of the most exquisite ventures.
Most tourists who come to hike in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda, have a long story to tell about the adventure, the unique aerial view of the region, the green tropical vegetation, the crater lakes, and the amazing wildlife sanctuaries that leave nothing but nostalgia for our most honored guests.
As always, nature has her own rules to be followed.
Only four of the five Virunga Mountains can be hiked; Mount Sabyinyo, the odd one out, has rough steep ridges with craters that make hiking an impossible dream to realize.
Despite this, it is thrillingly beautiful, providing one of the most mind-blowing views of the Virunga Region due to its strategic central location.

Best Time to Hike the Mountains
Mountains can be hiked any day, any time, in any season, though the dry season is preferably a better option. The dry months are June, July, August, December, January, and February.
The wet months are March, April, May, September, October, and November, which are quite interesting due to the most spectacular views and experiences, including good temperatures.
However, the wet seasons can be tiring due to wet trails. Each mountain has something unique and special with different tour guides, and the hikes are priced differently.
