Detailed 10-Day Rwanda Gorillas Tour, Masai Mara & Serengeti Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Rwanda
On arrival at the Kigali international airport, you will be welcomed by your safari driver guide who will drive you to your hotel in Kigali.
ettle in, shake off the jet lag and prepare to kick start your 10-day safari tomorrow.
Day 2: Kigali City tour and Volcanoes National Park
Kigali genocide memorial center, Inema art center, the national museum, craft shops and local markets are some of the places you will visit on you tour around Kigali city tour.
Set off to Volcanoes national park after having lunch in Kigali arriving in the North at your lodge in the early evening.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Gorilla Guardians Village
A once in a lifetime experience seeing the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You will have a chance to spend an hour with these great apes after a 2–6-hour trek, take pictures as you observe the gorillas.
In the late afternoon, your safari driver guide will take you to Gorilla Guardians village for a cultural tour.
Day 4: Flight to Kenya
You will be dropped at Kigali international airport to catch your flight to Kenya.
Your Kenya safari driver guide will be waiting to welcome you and pick you up from Jomo Kenyatta international airport and take you to your hotel for an overnight in Nairobi.
Day 5-6: Masai Mara National Reserve
2 days of exploring Masai Mara national park on game drives and other optional activities like hot air balloon safaris, guided walking safaris, birding safaris and community visits.
A chance to witness the Mara River crossing if you are visiting during the months of July to September.
Masai Mara national reserve is home to a diverse wildlife including different animals and bird species inhabiting its open grasslands, woodlands, wetlands and savanna plains.
Expect to encounter lions, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, leopards, jackals, hyenas, hippos, giraffes, gazelles, cheetahs and more.
Day 7: Cross the border to Tanzania
Exit Masai Mara national reserve and cross the border into Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania. It is also home to the annual wildebeest migration.
Day 8-9: Serengeti National Park
2 days of exploring the vast Savannah plains of Serengeti national park. Look out for wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, gazelles, topis, waterbucks, hartebeests, kudus, elands, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, warthogs, jackals and different bird species.
Optional activities; nature walks, birding safaris, hot air balloon safaris and a Maasai community visit.
Day 10: End of safari
End your 10-day safari with a drop off at Arusha airport.
