Day 1: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
A very early rise at your hotel or residence to have some breakfast and by 5:00am, your tour driver will pick you up and drive you to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze district, North of Rwanda.
By 7:00am, you should be checking in at the park head offices in Kinigi for a briefing session about gorilla trekking after which you will be led by an experienced ranger guide into the forest to start your gorilla trek.
Take time to look around while on your trek, once you meet the gorilla family, you will be given an hour to savor the moment, take pictures and watch the gentle giants.
After the hour, you will retreat from the Volcanoes and meet your tour driver back at the head offices and then drive back to Kigali city for late lunch and a drop off.
